You never know what you will find in a piece of amber. Many times the insect remains a mystery. Sometimes the insect may be new to science and not have any living relatives. A valuable resource for entomologist and scientists reconstructing   ecosystems and organisms of the past. Along with Insects, spiders and their webs, annelids, frogs, crustaceans, bacteria and amoebae, marine microfossils, wood, flowers and fruit, hair, feathers and other small organisms have been recovered in ambers dating to 130 million years ago.

That is the magic of amber. It's a treasure hunt.

A time capsule...  A life and death frozen in time...

Millions of years ago this little insect struggle to survive but was trapped, enveloped, covered and forgotten.

And now I am taking their portrait.
